Touring the SANCTUARY OF TRUTH in Pattaya! πΉπ (100% Wood & ZERO Nails!)
The Sanctuary of Truth is one of the most remarkable architectural wonders in Thailand, located in Pattaya. This monument stands tall at 105 meters and was initiated by Lek Viriyaphan in 1981. What sets it apart is that it is built entirely out of wood with no metal nails, a testament to the skill and dedication of its builders. The Sanctuary showcases intricate carvings that reflect Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Visitors are advised to follow strict dress codes, as tank tops are not allowed. Admission costs 500 Baht, approximately $14 USD. During your visit, you can take part in traditional Songkran celebrations, feed goats and horses at the petting zoo, and marvel at the intricate details of this ongoing construction project. It's essential to be mindful of the extreme Thai New Year heat and unexpected rules like leaving your water bottles behind. Have you ever visited a building made entirely without nails?
